Abstract:Pepsi, Puma, and Samsung sponsor soccer teams. Many forex brokers sponsor football teams. What drives deals?
The 2020 COVID-19 epidemic affected many worldwide sectors, including the football business and its sponsors. Matches may be canceled or clubs may play in empty venues. Premier League matches in March 2020 were postponed and resumed without spectators.
Most football clubs' income comes from sponsors, who were losing money during that time. The pandemic has struck football backers from Emirates and Marriott the hardest. Basset & Gold, which sponsored West Ham United, declared bankruptcy owing to Coronavirus.
Some sponsors used a contract clause to avoid supporting clubs. French hotel giant Accor, PSG's principal sponsor for 2019-20, too withdrew from paying the whole contract amount, but eventually paid.

Despite the epidemic, forex brokerage has done well.
Forex Brokers Save Soccer?
The trading industry, including offshore online brokers, recorded record earnings in 2020. IG's net sales rose 36% to £649.2 million. CMC Markets earned £409.8 million in FY2021.
Retail brokers injected massive sums of money into Arsenal when it was so broke it had to sack its mascot. Royal Forex, an online trading business, became AC Milan's major sponsor in April 2020 after providing EUR50,000 to battle the epidemic.
eToro, Libertex, easyMarkets, Axi, GO Markets, and others signed football sponsorship arrangements. Including foreign brokers.
Since 2010, football and online shopping have collaborated. Many brokers then invested over 70% in football-related deals.
During the Coronavirus outbreak, forex brokers invest money into sports to reach more audiences. Therefore, brokers saved the football industry.
Football club funding benefits
Why do brokers cooperate with football clubs? The football sponsorship business is profitable, of course.
Next, clubs' credibility and trust. By associating with football clubs and players, broker brands hope to gain awareness.
Five other reasons why brokers spend millions on clubs:
The charge is strong.
Branding globally.
Using prominent football teams or players to advertise their material.
Effective client acquisition method, especially when combined with marketing.
You realize why forex brokers collaborate with international footballers or teams, right? Most brokers favor big clubs, but some pursue smaller club affiliations. Smaller clubs have strong regional fan bases and need more support than big clubs.
Forex brokers and football teams have a win-win arrangement, as brokers regularly extend their contracts and sponsor multiple clubs.

Orbex, a Cyprus-based brokerage entity, has recorded 30 exposure complaints on WikiFX, a leading forex broker regulation inquiry tool, so far. Other review websites have also recorded a healthy number of complaints against the brokerage firm. These complaints largely talk about the alleged profit confiscations by the broker in the name of trading violations, difficulty in accessing fund withdrawals, capital losses due to artificial slippage, etc. In this Orbex review, we have investigated user complaints and provided a regulatory overview of the broker.

FCA warns Swift TradeX in a notice first published and updated on 1 September 2026. The UK Financial Conduct Authority says the firm may be providing or promoting financial services without permission, is not authorised, and may be targeting people in the UK. The notice names the website swifttradexai.com, a Worcester address and a UK telephone number, but also cautions that unauthorised businesses may use incorrect or borrowed contact details. The confirmed issue is authorisation status—not a court finding about every transaction. Anyone considering a payment should stop, verify the firm independently, and avoid using contact information supplied by the platform itself.
